Slow Food Sunday Market | May 4, 2014

Our first week was sun-filled, making both vendors (“producers”) and consumers (“co-producers”) happy (especially since the forecast called for rain). The market will remain outdoors right through the planting, growing, and harvest seasons, until mid-October.

On Thursday, March 20th, a small group of young foodies gathered at the Falstaff Family Centre in Stratford to talk and prepare FOOD. Liz Mountain, Slow Food Perth County’s Youth Chair, coordinated this gathering so that a core group of young, engaged individuals could talk about all the great opportunities that exist for youth to take control of their food system and affect positive change.
